I am Associate Professor of Interaction Design at . My work focuses on the design and evaluation of novel interaction techniques for mobile devices and other interactive surfaces. My research interests include human-computer interaction, design, and play.
I got my Masters degree in Visual Communication Design from . In 2004 I received a Professional Doctorate in Engineering (PDEng) degree in User-System Interaction from the , which included a one-year project in . In 2009 I completed my PhD in Human-Computer Interaction at the TU/e, during which I was Visiting Researcher at the .
I was Senior Researcher at from 2008 to 2014, where I was both leader in user-centered design projects overseeing all stages of the research process, and user experience (UX) expert evaluating future Nokia devices at different stages of the development process. In 2014 I returned to academia as Associate Professor of Interaction Design, first at the and since 2017 at .
