Course information

Learning outcomes

After the course, students will be able to have a more fluent conversation on the topics of the course and have a broader vocabulary related to them.

Content

Students use role play and games to practice everyday speaking situations and discuss topical issues. Students familiarise themselves with the topic before each lesson with the help of texts and vocabulary exercises provided by the teacher. The topics are agreed in class at the start of the course.

Finnish2 (ALC-7220) 3 credits or Finnish 2A (ALC-7321), 2 credits or equivalent knowledge

Evaluation

Regular attendance (max. one absence allowed) and active participation in class.

Teaching time and location

25.11.-11.12.2025. Teaching hours online on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 17.00-18.30.

Teaching hours are carried out in Zoom. Teaching hours are not recorded. Students are expected to be present at the lectures. Please be prepared to have your camera on during the lectures.

This course is organized by the Aalto University Open University. The requirements of the course are the same as in the degree studies at Aalto University Language Centre.

The number of participants is limited to 20.
Please note that this course is organized when there are at least 12 students registered for it.
