This student-led project brings the Aalto community together to celebrate Siipisauna, a new, sustainably built sauna made by students, for students. The initiative includes key safety and accessibility improvements such as guardrails, a wheelchair ramp, and storage facilities, making the sauna more inclusive and ready for communal use.
The opening event, organized by the Aalto Sustainability Club (ASC) in collaboration with the Polytechnic Sauna Society (PTSS), is designed as an inclusive, free gathering with food, non-alcoholic drinks, outdoor games, and of course, a warm sauna experience. Beyond celebration, the event aims to build visibility around the project, encourage responsible use, and inspire more student-led sustainability efforts on campus.
