The course Doing Business in Emerging Markets will focus exclusively on China this Autumn.

The course Doing Business in Emerging Markets will focus exclusively on China this Autumn. An important part of the course is working on a live case (consulting project) helping a Finnish firm to enter and expand in China. Students will help Kolster www.kolster.fi/en/, one of Finland’s largest IP law firms (established in 1874) expand in China and figure out what HR policies they should use and students will work with www.subsoccer.com to find a partner to outsource manufacturing of their product from Finland to China and students will also help them develop a sales strategy for China and build brand awareness. The course will be very interactive despite being online using cases, live cases, simulations, discussions, etc.

The course will have a number of interesting guests including Jing Reinonen, HR Business Partner from Huawei Finland, Esko Aho former prime minister of Finland, Markku Vaulkonen Managing Director of Mega Pro and former President of De Leval for East Asia (lived in China for five years) and former president of Fortum Service, and Peter Vesterbacka (An Entrepreneur and Angel Investor doing much work with China and the former Marketing DIrector and co-founder of Rovio/Angary Birds), and Rixin Jiang a Digital marketing expert based in Shanghai.
