Bioeconomy night at Heureka made an attendance record

Aalto University was one of the organizers of a one-day-event called "Biotalouden yö".

With over 9900 visitors the event made a record at The Finnish Science Centre Heureka over its history. During the first opening hours Heureka was open for pupils and later on it was free and open to all until midnight.

Aalto had stands of bio art at event, and iGem Competition team introduced visitors to synthetic biology.
 

As part of the event, Aalto CHEMARTS-students' huge work of art "Bioeconomy" will continue to be on display at Heureka lobby until 6 Jan, 2016.

FITech Network University's new project increases the network’s capabilities in continuous learning

FITech's new FITech FORWARD project aims to develop the member universities’ ability to create offerings of continuous learning and micro-credentials to meet the current skill needs in the field of technology. Besides Aalto University, also Tampere University, University of Oulu, and University of Vaasa are involved in the project.
