I was inspired by places left behind. Space that no longer serves its original purpose, but is not meaningless either. Foreign, even otherworldly. Such mysterious places speak to me, and I wanted to bring their spirit into these vases. Urn-shaped vases were created to provide a home for the dust - like a tribute. Dust, usually considered to be something to be removed and unwanted, is for me the creator of atmosphere and the patina of time. Through these  ceramic vases, I wanted to thank dust for its quiet presence.
