Aalto University campus in Otaniemi is located in Espoo, about 10 kilometres from the centre of Helsinki. The registration, opening and closing will take place at the Undergraduate Center.

How to get there?

Metro (station: Aalto-yliopisto, Aalto University)

From the city center you can come to the campus by metro. Aalto University metro station is 11 minutes from Kamppi station (city center Helsinki). There are two exits from the Aalto University metro station. Use the exit pointing 91ÇàÇà²Ý University.

By bus and light rail

Otaniemi is easily accessible by bus and. The light rail runs every 6 minutes on weekdays, stop at Aalto University metro station.

Public transportation tickets

• Single metro, light rail, tram or bus tickets can be bought in advance at the ticket machines or from the HSL mobile application. The same ticket is valid on buses, tram and the metro.
• Please note that you cannot buy a ticket from the driver and you must have it before onboarding the vehicle.

Airport connection

• Otaniemi is 22 km away from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport.
• Taxi fare is around 55 euros and travel time about 30 minutes. Bolt can be a more economical choice.
• Public transport from the airport takes about an hour: either the train or bus the Helsinki Central Railway station and metro 91ÇàÇà²Ý University, or the train to Huopalahti station and change to light rail line 15.

Accommodation

A quota of rooms for the Dialogue partcipants has been booked for the time period of October 5-10, 2025 at: 

(5-10 min walk to venue),

(low budget hotel, 15 min walk to venue),

(city centre, 15 min metro to venue) and 

(city centre, 15 min metro to venue) 

Early booking is recommended. The allotment will be released after 28 September 2025. See below for more information of each hotel. 

Rates include breakfast buffet, Wi-Fi, VAT and guest sauna. Please note, Heymo 1 rates do not include breakfast or sauna.

Guarantee & Payment
All reservations are to be guaranteed by credit card upon booking. An individual booking from allotment can be canceled by 6 p.m local time on the day of arrival, unless otherwise agreed. We primarily recommend making a reservation by phone or email. Kindly note that due to security reasons credit card details should not be sent via email. Guests pay individually, method of payment: cash or credit card.

There are also nice Airbnb homes are available in Helsinki and Espoo.
