Congratulations on your admission, and welcome to study at Aalto University! On this page you will find the orientation programme and instructions for starting your studies. Admitted students receive newsletters and updates from Aalto University throughout the spring and summer.
Conditionally admitted students must complete their degree by 31 July 2025. The procedure for submitting Bachelor's degree documents after conditional admission is specific for each year of admission. For instructions, see Conditional admission below.
Orientation for new students will take place 25 - 29 August 2025. Orientation week's programme will be updated during the spring. Participating in orientation is an important part of starting studies at Aalto. During the orientation, you become familiar with studying and student life, your courses, your study environment and university practices. You also receive information about services available to you and get to know your fellow students, tutors, staff, and faculty. Consider reserving a couple of days for settling in before the orientation programme.
The courses start on 1 September 2025. You will receive detailed instructions for creating your study plan and registering on courses in August.

Complete the preorientation on MyCourses learning platform in July/August, when you have activated your Aalto user ID. Pre-orientation takes 3-4 hours to complete. You can activate your Aalto user ID at the earliest in July after you have enrolled for the academic year.

Once you have received an admission offer from EIT Digital Master School and confirmed your participation, Aalto University will start the local admission process. It usually takes a week or two to complete the local decision-making process and send the Letters of Admission. After the Letter of Admission, students will receive an individual link to confirm the admission offer. The deadline for confirming the offer is 14 days from receipt of the link. If you do not receive the link or cannot access it, please contact ictinnovation@aalto.fi to confirm your admission offer and secure your place.

Entry students who have not completed their Bachelor’s degree or received the degree certificate by the time they applied to EIT Digital Master School have been admitted conditionally. This is stated in your Letter of Admission.

In case you are not able to graduate or fail to deliver your degree certificate by the deadline, your conditionally granted study right will be cancelled.
If you applied with an incomplete degree, note that it may not be possible to graduate during the summer months. You should look into the graduation schedules and requirements of your own faculty or school in good time.
Consider the country-specific requirements of EIT Digital Master School; e.g. Pakistani degree certificates must be attested by HEC. For a list of country-specific requirements (only concerning the degree certificate/diploma) see section /en/admission-services/country-specific-document-requirements.
Contact ictinnovation@aalto.fi as early as possible if you have problems with your graduation plans or you are not able to receive your degree certificate within the time required by administrative processes.

After this online session, you'll have a comprehensive understanding of the ICT Innovation programme, including its requirements, how to plan your studies, and how to register for courses. We expect you to draft your first study plan before orientation week, so be sure to attend!
