Master's Programme in Design

This site contains the student study guide for the Master's Programme in Design. Here you will find the programme curriculum as well as detailed guidelines for planning your studies. All the materials and instructions are for all the majors of the programme. If you are interested in applying to the programme, follow the link at the bottom of the site to the application page.

Master's Programme in Design is organized by the School of Arts, Design and Architecture.

The Master’s Programme in Design offers three majors for specializing in Collaborative and Industrial Design (CoID), Contemporary Design (CoDe) and Fashion, Clothing and Textile Design (FaCT). Overall, the programme comprises a total of 120 ECTS credits. All students participate in joint studies of the Department of Design, and select compulsory studies from the major’s study offering. In addition, they choose elective studies according to their Personal Study Plan, and produce a thesis project around a design subject. 

The Master’s Programme in Design collaborates closely with the Master’s Programmes in Creative Sustainability (CS) and International Design Business Management (IDBM). All are two-year programmes, whereby students graduate with a Master of Arts degree in Design.

Tuition fees

Tuition fee for tuition-fee students in this programme:

  • Study right started on or before 1 August 2024: 15,000 EUR / academic year
  • Study right started on or after 1 August 2025: 20,000 EUR / academic year
