Welcome to Participate in a Survey on Learning Support for University Students

You are warmly invited to take part in a study investigating learning support for university students from the perspective of university students. The study is carried out by the University of Eastern Finland, the University of Lapland and the Rehabilitation Foundation. Data will be collected from 13 Finnish universities using an online questionnaire. The survey is aimed at all students at participating universities, so you are very welcome to respond even if you feel you don’t need learning support.

Your participation is completely voluntary. The aim of this study is to generate new knowledge about learning support in universities. Your responses will help us understand practices and perceptions related to learning support and contribute to the development of university teaching and support systems. This is the first time the topic is being examined this extensively in Finnish higher education, making your input particularly valuable.

The data will be collected using a questionnaire, which does not gather any direct personal information (e.g. respondent’s name is not asked). All responses will be handled with strict confidentiality. Results will be reported at the group level, ensuring that individual respondents cannot be identified. If the dataset is sufficiently large, data from the questionnaire's statement section may be shared with participating universities and the National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL). In such cases, all indirect identifiers will be minimized. A detailed description of the study is provided in the attached research information sheet, which also includes a statement on the processing of personal data.

You can answer the survey in Finnish, Swedish or English via this link:

For more information about the research, please see . We kindly ask you to answer the survey on 10th of June 2025 at the latest. Thank you for participating. Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
