Mikkeli campus alumni celebrate the 35th anniversary of the International Business programme

More than 200 alumni of the BBA/BScBA programme attended the celebrations at the School of Business in Otaniemi.

On Friday, April 12th, 2024, we celebrated the 35th anniversary of the Bachelor's Programme in International Business (Mikkeli campus) at the School of Business. More than 200 alumni gathered at the Otaniemi campus for a fun evening of celebration, filled with the lively Mikkeli Spirit.

The celebration kicked off with a guided tour of Kauppis' impressive facilities. Then, Dean Timo Korkeamäki, International Business Programme Director Joan Lofgren, and Jonna Söderholm, Head of External Relations at the School of Business, welcomed everyone with greetings. The staff from the Mikkeli campus also shared some nostalgic memories with the happy attendees!

After the heartfelt speeches and warm embraces, the alumni enjoyed a tasty dinner, catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. DJ Michael Hamm spun some records, and everyone danced the night away.

It was a fantastic evening filled with the amazing Mikkeli Spirit. The alumni agreed that their time in Mikkeli had given them a lot, especially lifelong friendships!

The Bachelor’s Program in International Business celebrates its 30th anniversary this year

The BBA Program was the first English-taught bachelor's degree program in the School of Business.

Aalto students' art and science work Mama depicts the often invisible roles of mothers and women

The FIBRATIONS exhibition opens on 10 June at Heureka, a Finnish Science Center in Vantaa. It showcases student work at Aalto University that combines math and arts. One of the six student groups created a giant art and science piece Mama, which resembles a womb and represents motherhood, femininity and balance.
