Increasing cooperation with India
The goal is to extend contacts in education, training, and research, and open up new business opportunities.

Twelve Finnish universities have formed a consortium, coordinated by Aalto University, to promote increased cooperation with India. A delegation from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) visited Aalto in autumn 2013.
Aalto University’s President, Tuula Teeri, signed a memorandum of understanding with the President of IIT Kanpur, representing the Indian consortium, on 15 October. Both national presidents, Sauli Niinistö of Finland and Pranab Mukherjee of India, were present at the signing.
By working as a consortium, the Finnish universities involved can provide the range of expertise needed for the greater cooperation planned between Finland and India in the future.
