Hannu Seristö appointed as vice president, external relations
He will carry out this role on a part-time basis and commence his five-year term on 1 January 2015.
D.Sc. (Econ.) Hannu Seristö (b.1962) was Vice President of knowledge networks at Aalto University between 1 October 2009 and 30 September 2014. He is professor of International Business and worked before Aalto University at the Helsinki School of Economics as professor and vice rector.
He has also held positions related to international business in Polar Electro Oy, Suunto Oy and Finnair, and has worked as a consultant at McKinsey.
‒ Interaction with society is vital for Aalto University. I warmly welcome Hannu to strengthen our interactions with our key strategic partners and to continue to develop our university-level networks, both in Finland and globally, explains Aalto University President Tuula Teeri.
Aalto University also has vice presidents for research and innovation, Tuija I. Pulkkinen, for education, Eero Eloranta, and for campus development, Antti Ahlava. They all commenced their 5-year terms on 1 October 2014.
