Five new members to join the Aalto University alumni network board

Brought together by President of Aalto University ±õ±ô°ì°ì²¹&²Ô²ú²õ±è;±·¾±±ð³¾±ð±ôä, the alumni network board started its operations in 2019. The board represents alumni and organisations from different universities, colleges, guilds and sub-associations, and brings forward alumni's views on the university’s long-term development, such as strategy work. The board also supports almost 30 alumni associations and aims to create new alumni activities in Finland and other countries with a substantial number of Aalto alumni.
‘We have over 90,000 alumni and they are an integral part of the Aalto community. It is important to have an active alumni network that also supports the development of the university. I believe that this cooperation will open up opportunities, for example, in lifelong learning, which will bring together students and those who have been in employment for longer,’ says ±õ±ô°ì°ì²¹&²Ô²ú²õ±è;±·¾±±ð³¾±ð±ôä.
Useful, effective and fun activities
Kaj Hagros, Chairman of the alumni network board, welcomes the new board members. 'It is great to have such versatile expertise and experience from all six schools involved. We want to create more opportunities for the alumni to meet and create useful, effective and fun activities. The alumni network can also play an important role in employment and professional development. This year, our goal is to launch interdisciplinary alumni activities and to involve international alumni who have either graduated with a degree or studied as exchange students at Aalto University.’
