Bachelor's theses in technology will be possible to publish at Aaltodoc from the beginning of year 2025

The new practice will improve the availability of bachelor's theses, the transparency and sharing of information.
Students preparing their thesis should take into account that the thesis is a public document, and no confidential information may be included in the thesis submitted for review. Information on the theses can be retrieved from the and the archival copies of theses can be viewed in the Learning Centre. In addition, the Learning Centre must deliver the thesis in electronic format by e-mail to the client requesting it.
The author of the thesis can choose to give permission to publish the full text, in which case the thesis as a whole will be available to all Aaltodoc users in pdf format. If the author does not give permission to publish, the thesis cannot be directly downloaded from Aaltodoc, but the customer has the opportunity to request it from the Learning Centre by email oppimiskeskus@aalto.fi. However, the metadata of theses, such as the name of the author and the thesis, the abstract, the year of graduation, the degree programme and the keywords describing the content always become publicly available.
