Apply to EIT RawMaterials Skills for Tomorrow Training Call (Last Cut-Off Day 29 AUG 2025)

The 2025 Call for Proposals under the Skills for Tomorrow Training (S4T) Programme, focusing on future-ready upskilling in the Raw and Advanced Materials sectors. This initiative seeks to support the creation of innovative, revenue-generating training programmes that address digital transformation, technological innovation, and strategic workforce needs across the raw materials value chain.
EIT RawMaterials call for Skills for Tomorrow Training 2025

Call objective

The training programmes funded under this Call will:

  • Equip learners with future-focused skills, particularly in digital transformation, automation, AI, digital twins, and circular economy applications.
  • Address gaps in technical and non-technical expertise for professionals across blue, grey, and white collar roles.
  • Generate revenue as part of the EIT RawMaterials Academy's strategy to achieve financial sustainability.
  • Promote inclusivity, regional participation (especially RIS countries), and support entrepreneurship and lifelong learning.

About the consortium

  • multi-disciplinary consortia;
  • representing at least two of the EIT Knowledge Triangle pillars (Education, Research, Industry);
  • partners from at least two different EU or Horizon Europe-associated countries.

About the funding

  • Maximum EIT Funding per project: €800,000 (while the maximum budget mentioned in the call text is 800K€ EIT RM is hoping to receive many smaller size around 200k€ proposals too)
  • Minimum 5% co-funding required
  • Funding will be disbursed in two tranches: 75% pre-financing, 25% upon final reporting

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted through the

  • Final Submission Deadline: 29 August 2025, 13:00 CET

Expected from the funding project

Funded projects will develop training offerings such as:

  • Introductory courses on future skills for raw/advanced materials
  • Advanced technical courses on digital tools and technologies (e.g., IoT, AI, GIS, robotics, blockchain, LCA)
  • Micro-credentials, certifications, and self-paced modules
  • Training packages designed in SCORM format for integration into the EIT SkillsHub

Each project must deliver:

  • At least 150 participants in a pilot course
  • One innovation on the market (≥€10,000 in revenue) = New professional education course (please note this KPI requires close collaboration either with AaltoEE or with other partner who could be the commercialisation partner)
  • Course content that complies with the

Ideal project applicants will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in training or L&D programme development
  • Access to subject-matter experts in digitalisation and raw materials innovation
  • Strong connections with vocational and technical training providers (VETs), SMEs, and industry

The Project will be implemented in two (2) Phases: 

  • Phase 1: Ideation, development of the Course/Module contents including the teaching materials and proof of concept. Duration: 12 months
  • Phase 2: Further Implementation of the Project Duration: Indefinite, as a part of the EIT RM RawMaterials Academy. Phase 2 will not be a part of this call for proposals. Involvement of the consortia 

This Call is for Phase 1 only (12 months of course development).
