Aalto University ranks among the top 50 globally for international outlook

Times Higher Education lists Aalto 47th in the world and 3rd in the Nordics

Aalto University placed 47th in this year’s Times Higher Education (THE) ranking of the most international universities in the world, and it came in third among Nordic universities. The THE listing is based on universities’ international student score, international staff score, international co-authorship score and international reputation. Last year, Aalto was ranked 40th.

The University of Hong Kong tops the list, while the Swedish Karolinska Institutet was first among Nordic universities.

The listing is based on the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023, published last autumn. This ranking measures universities’ success according to 13 indicators, and Aalto University’s performance was strongest in international outlook.
