A! Walk-Geo-exhibition
On June 13th, a small group of geo-enthusiasts visited the ongoing Geo Exhibition at the GTK in Espoo.
, the geologist at GTK, explained the elements found in everyday objects and their relationship to the mineral elements. She also explained the geological time scales revealed by rocks and how these time markers highlight the brief span of human civilization in Earth's history. Furthermore, the exhibition emphasized that Earth's resources's finite and precious, and that pollution and loss are inevitable in the production process. Therefore, attendees were encouraged to adopt sustainable living practices, like reusing instead of buying new items.
After exploring the exhibition, the group walked leisurely through the campus woods. They chatted like old friends, sharing their thoughts and enjoying the pleasant Finnish summer atmosphere. This stroll allowed them to reflect on the exhibition's messages and the beauty of their surroundings.
A! Walk
Our upcoming walks invite you to explore the interwoven natural, human and environmental aspects of the campus.
