Aalto Digital Creatives pre-incubator programme aims to help creative industry students, researchers and practitioners on their path towards entrepreneurship. The programme is supported by the City of Helsinki and it’s part of Helsinki-based higher education institutions’ campus incubators network. Aalto Digital Creatives programme is coordinated by Aalto Startup Center and Aalto Studios.
14 ideas chosen to the Aalto Digital Creatives programme

The fifth Aalto Digital Creatives pre-incubation programme has started. Out of a total of 39 applications 14 teams or individuals were selected for a journey lasting until the beginning of the summer. The selected teams represent a diverse range of creative ideas ranging from AI, audio, music and performance to social media platforms and interior design.
"It is gratifying to see the number of Aalto-based applications steadily increase from season to season. The entrepreneurial career path offered by ADC has been found to be an important way to integrate into Finnish society. So, even now, we have as many as 11 incubees or teams with a foreign background starting in the pre-incubator", says Ari Kivimäki from Aalto Studios.
During the programme, the teams and individuals receive intensive coaching from experts at Aalto Startup Center and Aalto Studios, as well as from external mentors. The key goal of the program is to provide tailored coaching to each team.
The programme includes entrepreneurship workshops, one-on-one coaching, narrative training aimed at crystalizing the teams’ ideas, and pitching practice in authentic presentation settings. The programme also offers excellent networking opportunities for the pre-incubation teams by collaborating with various events, universities, and companies.
The Aalto Digital Creatives pre-incubation programme was established in 2022 to provide innovation services to students, researchers, and professionals in creative fields. Many students from the Aalto University School of Arts, Design, and Architecture pursue entrepreneurship after graduation.
The Aalto Digital Creatives programme has brought university innovation services closer to creative industry stakeholders by offering early-stage support and coaching for entrepreneurship. The programme operates as a part of the Helsinki Campus Incubators’ network and is coordinated at Aalto University by Aalto Startup Center and Aalto Studios.
