Description
This lecture is intended for Aalto researchers who might need to go through the ethical review process for their research project. Ethical review is often needed when personal data is collected or analysed, examples of ethical issues without personal data will also be covered.
- Are you aware of the national guidelines for research ethics?
- Have you considered that your research project could cause harm to your subjects, to other individuals, to yourself, or to society in general?
- Did you start data collection from individuals without considering the data protection and ethical issues involved?
In this training, Dr. Annukka Jyrämä (secretary of the Aalto ethics committee) will cover the basic principles that are needed in research ethics with a focus on what type of studies are reviewed by the Aalto ethics committee.
