School of Business – Building the future
At the School of Business, we work for better business and a better society by educating future talents.
In the event organised on 21 August, president Sauli Niinistö will give a lecture on security policy (in Finnish). Jaakko Honko medals will also be awarded at the event, and after the official part, there will be a buffet dinner served.
The invitations to the event were sent to the invited guests and the School of Business alumni via email. The event is currently fully booked. You can register for the waiting list via the registration link in the invitation email.
The event is free of charge for the participants, thanks to the support of Yrjö Jahnsson Foundation, Helsinki School of Economics Support Foundation, and Aalto University School of Business.
More information about the event will be updated on the Finnish page.
Jaakko Honko (1922–2006) was a former rector and chancellor of the Helsinki School of Economics. The Jaakko Honko event is organised biennially by Yrjö Jahnsson Foundation, Helsinki School of Economics Support Foundation, and Aalto University School of Business.
Internationality was at the heart of Jaakko Honko's activities, so you can honor his lifework by supporting our students and donating an optional sum to the School of Business International Student Exchange.
The donations to the international student exchange are now even more impactful, since our alumni Tuomo and Tarja Vuolteenaho have promised to match all donations made by individuals for international student exchange at the School of Business up to USD 1 million until the end of 2025.

In addition, Aalto is running a university-wide fundraising campaign, A! Sign of Change, until the end of 2026. All donors who have donated during the campaign will receive a wooden lapel pin, designed at Aalto and made from nanocellulose. A warm thank you for your support!
