Group description

Wood fibers and wood macromolecules are central to today’s materials biorefinery. The current challenges presented by raw material and energy scarcity call for solutions that make processing more efficient and enable us to use all fractions of the biomass. The Lignocellulose chemistry group focuses on processing and utilization of wood fibers and wood hemicelluloses.

Group leader Tiina Nypelö (Associate Professor) holds a position also at . She is active in . Nypelö teaches in courses CHEM-E1150 and CHEM-E1160.
