ClaySkin by Hana Rehorčíková

ClaySkin is an experimental project that explores a biodegradable alternative to synthetic tattoo practice skin, commonly used by beginner tattoo artists. It's crafted from clay and other natural ingredients to create a flexible, leather-like material suitable for tattooing. This project challenges the traditional notion of permanency associated with tattoos by introducing the concept of temporary permanency. Made from biodegradable materials, these sheets change over time and/or with temperature. ClaySkin also serves as a standalone design-craft-art piece, symbolizing the author’s personal journey and commitment to balancing artistic interests with sustainable design practices.
