The space user can adjust the specific temperature target +/- 2 degree from the default setting. This ensures that the conditions in the workspaces are always good. Technical systems are not usually designed for fast temperature changes.
A manually made change is reset once a day at nighttime. This aims to ensure that in the morning the conditions are as consistent as possible, and for instance, a temperature lowered in the sunshine of the previous afternoon isn't confronting you in the morning.
The temperature target for the spaces depends on the outdoor temperature. In the winter, the target temperature for the spaces is about 21 degrees Celsius. In the summer, the target temperature for cooling is about 23 degrees Celsius. The target temperature shown on the display controllers is usually the midpoint of these temperatures, so the actual target temperatures for heating and cooling will differ by +/- 1 degree from the value shown. This ensures that heating and cooling are not on simultaneously. During the summer, people also dress lighter and are accustomed to higher temperatures. It's worth noting that a slightly higher summer temperature target also affects energy efficiency, reducing the electrical energy used for cooling.
Temperature adjustments work automatically and are specific to each space. Manual temperature adjustment is not possible in every property, partly due to the type of controller. These guidelines apply generally for spaces equipped with cooling and in terms of technical details for those buildings and spaces where manual temperature adjustment is possible.
