Magnificent Materials summer camp

Seaweed hats, biodegradable glitter and toilet paper foam! At Aalto University Junior's summer camp we explore raw materials from nature, make bio-based materials and design products for the future. The Magnificent Materials camp will inspire you to explore materials and is ideal for creative makers and science enthusiasts. The camp combines design, chemistry and fun summer activities!

At the end of the camp week, the materials created in the laboratory will be presented in an art exhibition, where parents are also welcome to attend. The camp fee also includes Magnificent materials book.

The following substances are handled externally at the camp, some of which are possible allergens: carboxymethylcellulose, methylcellulose, agar, pectin, eggshells, sodium alginate, potato starch, citrus fruit peels, glycerol, citric acid, salt, wheat flour, cooking oil, baking soda, beard algae, spruce cones, sawdust, spinach and food dyes.

Let’s get excited about materials!

Robotics summer camp

Get excited about robotics and programming at the robotics camp! The camp offers a versatile introduction to robots and robotics. Participants get to use their creativity by designing, building, and programming their own robot.
