Englanti
Aalto University Degree students in the schools of ARTS, CHEM, ELEC, ENG, and SCI must demonstrate both oral (o) and written (w) proficiency in one foreign language (3 credits) . If you don't know which course you should take as a degree student of CHEM, ELEC, ENG or SCI, the details can be found here. BIZ students can take a language elective (for English CEFR C1, other languages can be at any level) from our selection of courses.
Note that in selecting students to courses, priority will be given to degree-seeking students who have earned the most credits. If space is available in courses, then exchange students will be admitted.
Important: When registering for courses, make sure both the scheduling and mode of delivery suit you! Note that we offer both one- and two-period courses and the work load for a 3-credit course is exactly the same (81 hours). Therefore, when delivered over one period, it requires twice the amount of work / week (about 13.5 hrs) as opposed to a two-period course (6.75 hrs).
For general questions and queries about our English courses, please email susan.gamache@aalto.fi.
